Went riding in the Nevada Desert over the weekend with a buddy who rides a CRF450. We went
to a place just outside Carson City called Johnson Lane also know as Pine Nuts.
This is the very first time I've ever ridden in the desert. It's different than the trails I normally
like to ride. The sand takes some getting used to.
I'm happy to report that my 511 is a bad boy. I've always wondered how it would stack up
against a 450 MXer. Well to my surprise it was blowing doors on that 450 in several drag races
that went on during the day. Some of which I have on vid. It wasn't til I let off on the gas that he
went squirtin' by me. We traded bikes for a little while and that is the first 450MXer that I've ever
ridden. I was expecting a hard hitting powerband from the CRF. It was ok but I think mine has got
more power. His 450, according to him, was a White Bros. race bike before bought it.

Nice views of the back side of the Sierras.

They were painting the sky all day...
