  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

te511 problem?

zok511

Husqvarna
C Class
Hi all, rode the te511 today and noticed a slight hesitation only at times when excelarating
mainly in second or third gear? like a traction control has come on or something? has
anyone had this happen or is the bike faulty? 250kms on bike only??? race map 2 on.
Otherwise awesome bike.......

Thanks in advance..

Every once in a while I go to rip a wheelie or something and nothing, like I did not twist the throttle, then next twist it is all good. Does this about once ever other ride. Strange. (2011 TE511) did it stock, does it with the JD tuner.

I have never had it happen on my bike in stanard race map 2 or with the turner installed, maybe its getting a big dump of fuel?? or not enough to give you snappy response. Maybe it's a female and is abit sensitive at times, just talk to it nicely before you ride it to hard and cuddle it after woulds:love: when the jobs done. Other than that I have nothing!!

Bankso
P.S Mate I havent had a chance to get down to Super Cheap to get you that part number yet but I'm working on it.

EFI is hardware driven by software ... Once you pass 2 - 3 lines of coding, its just about impossible to get all the bugs out ... Or as a DEV might say, that is the expected behavior in this case ...

Happened to me a couple times also. Exactly what motosportz is saying ... not all the time and its only when I try to hammer it a little.

The dealer I just got the bike off of has a new computer for the husky and I scheduled my bike to go in for a little computer work. Not sure if it's necessary or will fix the problem but hey, why not!

Let me know if you guys find anything out in the mean time.

Will do keep us in the loop...

One off road dual sport ride this week, lost throttle response 4 times in one 110 mile ride . Pinging the thread to keep it on the radar.

Same issue, rode 60km of fire trails with my son, plenty of erosion mound jumps and lost throttle about 5 times right at the critical point where you need it to launch off the top of the mound.
The mounds were pretty stacked up and close together, it seemed like repetitive throttle chopping exacerbated the issue?
11 TE511 in race map II Akro pipe JD tuner.

Possible candidates for a TPS reset?
Did that, battery was dead (5 months no use) and had to replace before riding it so did a TPS reset as well.
Did another TPS reset on the trail after we stopped. Tested it again on the way back, not as severe but still happened.

yes still happening and no reason found as yet?
some expert please put their hand up and help us fix this?

Anyone have there throttle sticking at all.
Sometimes after riding it hard and come to a stop, clutch in and rev it, it sticks for about 3 seconds.
Anyone else have this problem?

have you taken the slack out of the throttle by adjusting it?
that helped me and also adjusting large brass screw?
thread on it somewhere?

My 449 cut out similar to your 511 and ive found the following: 1) the bike completely cut out after about an hours riding. found two relays located on the frame were wet, cleaned them dry and used some electricals insulation spray now no problem. 2) when the bike gets hot and the fans running just at the point when the fan switchs on the revs drop and if the revs are low this could stall the bike, so i turned the air screw up a small amount. 3) the uk bikes run rich low revs and lean mid to high revs. Ive a full fmf and derestricted airbox with jd tuner. Green and green and blue are on 2 standard low rpm and richer mid to high revs. I think my yellow is 4 and red is 4. This info maybe of help my 449 now runs very well its the 2011 bike.
