• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello

I have problem with TE510 injection or something else.So when i start engine then engine not want idle and also i hawe all time backfire from exhaust.I changed sparkplug, oxigen sensor, chek all connections... so no result.Do somebody have any idea or was faced similar problem.

I'd hook it up to Ibeat (dealer software) to check for codes and verify settings.
Also look for intake leaks.

i also have the high idle.i have a 08 smr450.i put the california cycle work fuel pump in a year ago.wasnt leaving me stranded any more, more mileage!worked awesome.now last night at gas station, after filling up,went to give the bike couple gentle revs.bang, back fire and died!i had to pump the throttle to re-fire.it finially did,but now idles at 6 grand!weird?could it have jumped timing?

Sounds like your intake boot is cracked

Like TheDude said, cracked or loose intake manifold OR clogged up fuel filter. Mine has clogged up twice, and it was back firing, popping, lots of weird stuff, a new filter cured it both times. These filters are so small, there's not alot of life to them in these dirty tanks.

ok,have an update.TheDude sent me to investigate the intake manifold.when i did so,i found the top of the rubber boot slightly seperated from the throttle body.loosened clamp and fell back into place.very simple fix!i dont know why it back fired so violently, but running fine know.thanks for your fast response.

After I ran real hot one time, my intake manifold gave up. When I got a new one, I tied it to the head to keep the vibrations from shakin' it so much.
