  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te449 and wrong caliper bracket

Olive xm

Husqvarna
A Class
I just bought a warp 9 sm kit and the caliper bracket to convert to the larger disc dose not fit.
The problem is that the pins for the floating caliper are closer together than the warp 9 bracket is made for.
Anyone had problems like this? There was somebody else here who Had a problem with their bracket, but I cannot find the thread.

My bracket fit but the spacer for the stock wheel is not wide enough for the hub they use. I also put a magnet on my disc to line it up with the speedo sensor hole on the caliper bracket as it will not line up where the old disc/magnet was. My advice on the spacing would be to figure out the difference in width and have someone machine you a wider spacer or your disc will be hard to line up and you will have to pull the fork legs inward with the axle to get the preload somewhat correct. Check your wheel for wobble/slack on the preload after you tighten the axle.

Do you know if the bracket they gave you was numbered? mine is no 3.
Do you have this measurement?

Im not sure. Sold the bike recently. I can asky buddy who bought it to take a look.

I like what you have written on the paper behind the bracket haha

Lol I didn't even see that.

I rang a Australian suppler and they said they have only used the larger 80mm brackets never heard of these 70mm ones.

Received an email Saturday from Warp9,
We double checked our listing, as well as the listings that our competitors list for brackets for the 449. It should have been the bracket #3 that we sent. But based on your measurements, you need a bracket #7. We will be sending one out today. The bracket #3 has a 79.5mm slider spacing, and the bracket #7 that we are sending has a 69.25mm slider spacing.

TE's must have a couple of different front calipers, so anybody looking at doing an SM conversion may want to measure the caliper before ordering the Sm Kit.

The same thing happened to me! I've not been able to find a replacement bracket and motostrano/warp9 never responded to my emails...
Will do my own search but let us know if you find a solution!

Yup same thing, went to mount it and the bolts wouldn't line up. Stared at it for about 5 mins thinking that I'd done something stupid.....
Have the Sam 70mm spacing as you

awesome, well done man.
will shoot an email off to that address later on and get my hands on one!

a little off topic but do you know if warp9 sell these bracket individually? ( cant see them). where did you buy the kit from here in Oz?
im in the process of doing a tight arse motard conversion on my 610 using cbr wheels and this might enable me to keep the cbr 310mm front disc.

cheers
