  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE449/511 supposed to come with a muffler?

I'm over it as i love the TE muffler now. Quiet and works fine.

I can hardly wait for the next ride...

Your reflector is on the side of your license plate mount.

In California, for street legal vehicles, reflectors are required on the rear and sides at the rear of the vehicle and on the sides (usually the forks) at the front.

Well I'm surpised **************************************** I'd say this happend due to marketing issues with dealers & law regulations to each country .......... Specially USA is very strict !!!
We in Europe ( Greece for me ) get the extra Acrapa and stock exhaust for free.
Specifcly TE 449/511 comes with the aluminum Acrapa + stock and TC 449 comes with the carbon Acrapa.

Moto mag made a big Enduro test for the TE449 and she performed 46,2 bhp at the wheel ( with the Acrapa ) ,
They also did a test and compared the TE 449 with four other Enduro contester bikes :
Husky TE 310 , Beta RR 400 , KTM EXC 250 two stroke , Gas Gas EC 300 two stroke.

Decided that , 1st TE 310 , 2nd TE 449 & RR 400 , 4rth EXC 250 , 5th EC 300.

The TE 310 won because they believe that its the best all around enduro bike and acceleration is good for all stage riders.

Now to my personall experience the TE 449 is a great bike !!! and I'm really happy with it.

The front reflectors are on the forks and the rear side reflectors are on the mudflap/license plate mount and there is also a rear facing reflector below the license plate. Hope this helps !

We get both mufflers with the TEs in Canada and a 2yr warranty.

Our TEs are $1000 more money than in the US but probably worth it in the long run.

Just picked up my TE449. It came with the large muffler, but it still sounds good. My speedo says "RaceMap2", and I confirmed that the dongle (jumper) is installed. Going to pull the dongle to see what the difference is.

hard starting, erratic idle, pop and stall. Leave it in, it is only there to get past EPA.

My bike shop already had my te 449 fully setup with the akro and racemap 2 before i bought it.

There little black loop plug in the kit with the bike ,it plugs in under the seat next to the I beat plug in,we plugged that in and unplugged the o2 sensor and the Te511 ran alot better it revs out and rips even with that big muffler.billf
Hi. I just purchased a 2013 TE449 and new to the endure riding. Can u post a pic of the "little black loop" and further explain where it gets installed ? Thanks

Under your seat and under the ecu (rectangular box). You will want your ecu reflashed as soon as you are out of warranty as well.
