  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE310R workshop manual

Allan Briscoe

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have just traded my 2011 TE310 in for the 2013 TE310R and was wondering if anyone has found a workshop manual that can be downloaded for the new model. I kept the 2011 manual i downloaded but would like the new version if available.

So the Owners manual tells you exactly what is needed for maintenence, and the how to's... the parts catalogue has all the various parts of the bike... what exactly does the Workshop Manual have that these do not??

The workshop manual has complete overhaul procedures for everything on the bike, detailed disassembly/assembly instructions as well as torque values.

That's in the Parts Catalogue... I think they are one in the same.
Not in the parts catalog. It's helpful but for parts and an overview of the parts. A service Manual will list any special tool needed for service and step through every task related to servicing and replacing every part on the bike, plus all torque values applicable for each step and full wiring schematics and specs. all with in depth photographs. The Manual is dated and does not even show the '13 drain plug in the sump. Of most importance would be the new head and it's valve adjust proceedure and tolerances and Keihin specific stuff from the airbox to the manifold. PLus all options for the ECU and proceedures to reflash using special tools. Rear arm servicing (so folks aern't wondering if there is a shoulder in there next to the bearings). What tools to use to pull the bearings, etc... Us home wrenching owners need this stuff. By having one, every owner can be fluent with the entire workings of their bike and confidently address issues if they desire to.

Oh... I looked at the parts catalogue and it had all detailed disassembly / assembly. Figured that is what a workshop manual would look like. And the other manual has the basic maintenence stuff - how to change oil / air filter .. when to... etc.

I just went over the parts link above and so no complete torque and service pages in teh parts pdf. IN any regard it's More than basic... It is a service bible for the bike. Not that I need much at any one time but it's a relevant tool for ownership and doing your own work. Especially subtle complexities so one doesn't butcher parts or incorrectly torque, etc... Also great for diagnosing electrics with a guide for us less than genius electricians. Should diagram and instruct step by step a complete engine teardown and reassembly with bearing clearances, etc... In the old days this was what your dealer service department had in loose leaf binders, like what Mitt Romney kept his lists of women in ;-)

I had bottom engine work done and the mechanic (not husqvarna certified either) used that 'parts catalogue' to reference all the work so I figure that would be detailed to do pretty much any type of work.

When I bought my 2010 TE 250 - I never got anything more then what is posted in that link.

Does not have the 2013 manuals listed yet but your bike will be coved with the 2012 TXC/TE/TC manuals (the TC section will cover the redhead on the 2013)
Thanks very much for pointing out the TC head being same as for 2013 model. That now gives me the overview of the finger followers, etc., I had not seen, and how it is relative to the buckets so I can confidently tear it down/adjust.

Loading this file onto my thumbdrive.

No problem! Keep checking that link every so often as they will add the new year models periodically.

Just a heads-up... The 2013 Workshop manuals are now listed on http://www.husqvarnafactory.nl/pdf/2013.htm

:)

Glad it's there but still it's lacking the new oil drain plug. It sure does make oil changes a snap as I'm going to check that tubular unit every other change. Another thing wrong is the under fork adjustments in their Service and Owners Manual. It shows an allen head adjuster for the TE and a flat blade screwdriver for the rest. It's a flat blade adjuster screw on the TE as well. Does anyone proof this stuff before it goes to press?

Yeah, that tube thing is a PITA!

You'll notice that they also talk about the hour meter as if it is functional, much to my irritation.

Apart from the occasional error, however, it is nice to have it!

I have the 2013 te 310 workshop manual . As soon as I can have my son figure out how to post link I will get it up on the board .
