    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

TE310 Tall Seat?

I have a very nice standard stock height Seat Concepts seat now and although it is a huge improvement over stock, I am looking for a bit more height, maybe 1 1/2" at least to help my knees. I spoke with SC (Lendon) and he said he could whip something up for me this winter but I am curious about alternatives. Renazco could be a possibility too. I have 38" inseam so my knees get sore from popping up on the pegs at the end of the day. Has anyone replaced their seat with a taller version and if so what do you have? Thoughts? TIA
 
I have tried some different seat. The Seat Concepts is the best IMHO. My Renazco was not near as nice feeling IMHO. Was good looking but the SC works way better.
 
This is my 4th SC seat and I am a big fan. I am just exploring options for a taller version. SC doesn't produce a tall version but they say they will custom do one for me. Heck, last time I asked them to make a tall one for my DR650 and they did. 1 week later they added the tall version to the production line:thumbsup: Maybe the same will happen for the TE310, who know's?:cheers:
 
Guts racing sells tall seats in soft, medium, and firm foam types for a lot of huskys. I have SC tall seats on my other two bikes. I bought the Guts seat for my 511 because SC only offered regular heights for my bike too. I like it for off road riding alot, but it's not the highway seat the SC seats are IMHO.
 
Ordered and installed the Guts tall seat foam medium density and cover. Here is a picture of it installed. I used a air stapler and heat gun. Easy install and nice fit/finish. Feels nice on the knees and I can still flat foot when stopped. Not sure about comfort but I don't expect much improvement from stock. Now if spring would just get here already...
