  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

sorry, no.

But on my 2014 TE310R, my same speedo was made in December 2010. The OEM of these things must've made a big batch for husky. I believe the TE449/511 use the same computer. I don't know when they started, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in 2009 or 2010- do some research and you could open up your source pool by huge factor.

also IMNSHO- these things suck. I'd recommend an aftermarket unit like TrailTech Endurance II. much better functionality, cheaper, better ergo's. The only thing you lose is the "FAIL" message; but you should already have a separate LED for that maybe?

good luck.

I agree with you that this dashboard is made for a lot of different Husky.
I think they have only two types: "Husqvarna/4T" and "Husqvarna/2T". My is "Husqvarna/4T".
So if anyone have an not working dashbord "Husqvarna/4T" with good LCD (LCD is what I need) I'm interest for buying it.

Also thanks for recommendation for an aftermarket unit.
ps.: how I must wired that separate LED for "FAIL" message?

I don't know if you need the "fail" message really. I'm not really sure you need the "FI" LED either (and it looks like you don't have it).

Here in the US we do not have 2T for the street; but I find it weird that they have different speedometers. The LCD displays may be the same of course.

on my '14 with a Keihin ECU, the Orange/Blue wire for the FI LED comes from connector #21. It is "active low" meaning that when the ecu wants the led on, the O/B wire goes to ground. I think your ecu is Mikuni and probably has a different pin-out.

My speedo has no connections on pins 7 and 10.

@Trenchcoat85: Thank you for your advice how to connect the FI LED.
I still hope that I will find one not working dashboard or some use unit for a good price.
If I don't get any I'll probably buy an aftermarket unit like you mention in your earlier post.

Fail message works like a warning, and it's helpful to know when to connect to iBeats, IMHO.
By the other hand, how to you know which map is active ?

Hi.

I still haven't found a dashboard for "Husqvarna/4T".
So if anyone have an working or not working dashboard (odometer) "Husqvarna/4T" with good LCD (LCD is what I need) I'm still interest for buying it.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. If I can't find the original (used, broken) meter, I'll probably buy something like the one you suggested.
