Hey guys,
As per my other thread I was in the market for a 310, well i ended up getting a 2011 te310 and couldn't be happier.
Took it for a run at the local bike park and was impressed with the bike, couldn't believe the difference between this and my drz, chalk and cheeze!!
Now to my questions,
I noticed that my bike came up with FAIL on the dash a few times. Once when i was about to start it and once while riding.
The time it came up when starting the fuel pump primed and the bike even started and seemed to rev fine, but scared of damage i turned it off then on again and FAIL came up again, so i tried pressing a few of the elec buttons (engine kill switch, blinkers and stuff) and noticed when i turned it to race map 2 it went away and could not repeat this problem even when running on map 1.
It also came up while riding as i just stalled it on this hill, turned the key off and on again started it and it didnt come up again, wondering if FAIL comes up if you stall it??
Any ideas guys? I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow to pick their brains, but it'd be good to see if anyone has had these problems.
Also after the ride I washed my bike, with a garden hose, and as soon as water went near the dash/ engine kill start switch the dash turned on with the low fuel light on (fuel was not low), normal looking and everything working as if I just turned the key and the dash could be turned off and on with the kill switch with the key off.
Since the bike has dried it is back to normal, I just find this frustrating being an enduro bike, wondering if sealing up the switch block and checking all connections is the fix, or just use bags over them when washing (i'd rather fix is properly)
Thanks heaps for the help guys much appreciated
