    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

TE310 2011 idle only

Hello husky friends


I have just bought a TE310 2011 with 96 hours on it, went well for about 1/2 hour, then died out, drove a bit, died again. Engine rebuild by husky shop 2 hours ago, new fuel pump 1 hour ago. All work made for the former ovner.


It starts right away on button and kick, and idles well. It will only rew to about 3000-4000 rpms, when I try to ride it, it pulls sligthly and dies. After 1 min. It starts again.

The fuel pump, pumps out gas when primming and when engine is turned over. Pressure not messured

It has bin opgraded to 12 hole nozzle, race ecu and full leo vinci pipe and muffler.


Can fuel pressure be to low and if, what can it be?

Can nozzle be clogged with dirt our water, and if, how do I clean it?

Other things?

I would guess temperature sensor, but it's usually longer than a minute before the bike will start again. Still, might be worth a check.
 
You can try just unplugging the temp sensor to see if it makes a difference.

Regarding the resistance, this is from another thread (found here: http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/coolant-temp-sensor-resistance-values.12267/)

Did some tests on the Water Temperature Sensor:
Mine is working correctly and I have no issues.
I found that with the bike "cold":
The Resistance between the two prongs of the temp sensor was .690 K Ohms
The Temp indicated by Ibeat was 28'C or 82.4F
Which is what the temperature was outside today

I then started the bike and recorded the Resistance when the fan came on.
The Resistance between the two prongs was now .162 K Ohms
The Temperature on Ibeat indicated 207.5'F or 97.5'C

What this tells you is if you do not have an Ibeat- you can check the Resistance on an Ohm Meter or MultiMeter and see if yours has similar values. I had to go back and forth and there is some delay in doing this so the amounts might be off very slightly.

That temperature was in the original post that I quoted.

It is cold (6c), windy, and rainy here, as well.

Still, hope to get another ride or two in before the winter!

WE JUST FOUGHT THIS ON ONE TXC250 AND IT WAS THE PULSER IT would run fine then miss above 4k then shut off ,cool down do it again.The pulser is only available with the stator so im trying to find a replacement.Try an old analog ohm meter on milivolts scale and see if the trigger pulse is gone whenit quits.think its red & blk wires or red & green.
 
^ That would make more sense than the temperature sensor, given the relatively short recovery period.
 
Up and running again, I guess...

The former owner got a new fuel pump, he also changed the inside fuel lines. But the new lines where not gasolin resistent, so the tank, lines and nozzle where filled with smale rubber part. Tank and lines cleaned, and I got hold of a new noozle. The old one was blue with 10 holes, first owner had a new green 12 hole noozle laying a round in original huske packing.

I have started the engine up, it revs freely now. But rear frame, shock and swinger is missing (replacing link and swingarm bearings), so havent riden it!

As soon as I read your first post, I realised that's the same symptoms as I had, and it also turned out to be a blocked injector. See thread.......
