Short story shorter, I smashed my speedo on my te250, I was wondering if there was a good aftermarket one that was recommended?

I don't know how much a husky replacement is, but I bet its not cheap. I'm looking to spend around 100 bucks.

I was looking at the trailtech endurance 2, but I don't know what is entailed in making an aftermarket part fit my bike. I would prefer a plug and play, if possible

trailtech endurance ii was a direct swap over on my wr300 & is lightyears ahead of crappy oem speedo in terms of quality & reliability! same plug for pick up & left original magnet in rotor & pick up wire in caliper/brakeline. just had to run wire to stator(battery in your case) & earth. easy as. easy instructions to follow for installation & programming. $99 i think. no drilling calipers or nasty wiring jobs! screws direct into oem speedo mount(you get a trailtech one also & pick up wire/magnet etc). so close to plug-n-play its not funny-even easier on te as you just run power to battery, probably dont even have to take tank off! brakes/speedo etc are the same on wr as they are on te im fairly certain so same story basically. kph(or mph), av speed, max speed, total km, 2 trip meters, ride time, accumulated ride time(hour meter), clock. no lap timer though. i was stoked at how good it fitted & quality wise its awesome-easy to read & use, decent buttons & bright display. plus as wr has no battery it works without engine running(unlike oem unit)-front wheel movement activates or engine start, like ktm. get one theyre brilliant!

I would go with the Trail Tech Vector model you can find them for less than $90 and add the remote switch

what does remote switch do exactly? i just wanted most smallest/slimline, basic, cheapest, RELIABLE(CAN YOU HEAR ME HUSQVARNA!!!) speedo i could get. basically just a clock with trip km, total km, hourmeter & speedo. didnt really want tacho/water temp etc as only trailride but different strokes for different folks

I agree fully with you shawbagga. You said the stock wheel sensor was compatible with the trailtech right? So all I need to buy is the computer and the handlebar mount? Thumpertalk has the computer for $50 and the mount for $15. So if that is all I need than I could get away with spending $65 plus shipping

i thought they just came in a kit(mine did anyway!) with speedo, wiring/magnet/pick-up/cable & mount? basically everything you need to put one onto an mx bike. i got mine direct from trailtech & pretty sure it was $99 plus freight-$25 to Oz. quick delivery(coupla weeks) even though they were on back order or something! the mount it comes with is just a crappy plastic L-shape type one that bolts onto ya bars-i wouldnt trust it but be handy if you had no other mounting option. mate im 99.9% certain the te's & wr's run exact same front end i.e. wheels/forks/brakes/clamps/speedo/headlight(up till '11) etc or very very similar. maybe someone with both models could confirm this? i wouldnt bother with the trailtech mount the stock mount is much better & central to clamps where as the trailtech sits off to one side a bit(by the look of it as i never did fit it to my bars). it screws right in holes line up near on perfect. cant remember if i used same screws as oem unit came with or trailtechs but youll work it out. use same rubber grommets/bungs for vibration & snug fit so wont come loose. if you can just get the unit itself for $50 grab it, thats all youll need. thats cheap, damn it i got ripped off $49 thinking i needed the whole box & dice. like i said i thought it only came as a complete set. pick up plugs straight in-same plug connection. jump on trailtechs site & have a look as you can get an alloy protective case which might come in handy for you!!! its listed as husky/berg/ktm i reckon so they must run similar systems-hole centres/plugs etc(ktm/berg units generally work longer than 2 rides though!). similar size to oem unit but much much bigger, brighter, better display & buttons. there are threads on em on here do a search, thats where i got the notion. everyone seems to like em & give good reports on functionality & durability. all in all a grouse unit thus far-very happy with it! p.s. you owe me $24.50 seeing as though i had to learn the expensive way!

I hooked up the endurance 2 and it seems to be a darn good unit. It was $50 and was a completely plug and play unit on my te250. The only hickup was I needed to buy 2 machine screws to mount the unit on the stock husqvarna mount.
