  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te250 power up?

Chris-Carroll

Husqvarna
Hey guys I just bought a new 2012 te250 and they didn't come with the power up kit that year. I was wondering what I can do to remove the o2 sense or. Can I just unplug it and put a bolt in the whole or what?

Best talk with Halls and order the proper kit. Lot's to do to power it up the right way. There is a jumper that goes to the electrical socket for the O2 sensor and a threaded cap to seal the sensor hole. Air filter mod, cat converter removal, charcoal canister removal and TPS reset. There is more but best to get with a quality dealer to talk about your options.

Or get a Powercommander/autotune setup. I'm running one on my '10 250 and the thing screams. Rode a buddy's the other day (and he rode mine) with just the normal powerup. After 3 minutes I wanted my bike back. He wanted to trade bikes forever!

Hahaha ok man I appreciate it, I just bought mine so I'm gonna baby it through break in then look at my options so I have all winter to tinker with haha

I have no idea if mine has had the power up mods. What's the easiest way to tell?
Look for this on the mid pipe

Also, check the air filter cage. It should be the bare minimum of plastic to hold a air filter.

If you have a txc injector/ECU then you'll have a green one if not it's yellow. Look just above where I took the picture it's where the air intake meets the engine. All you can see is the colored plastic part.
