With absolutely no prep except a change of tires. I took my new TE250 off the showroom floor at Bill's and rode it in the Applegate Rough Riders Nestuca Poker Run yesterday.
Great bike for the largely single/double track through the forest course. Nice throttle response, surprisingly torquey for climbing hills, light enough to throw around and the suspension isn't far off (really, no prep ... I didnt even look at the sag or any other suspension settings) for this sort of riding.
Generally Im not a big fan of this type of riding as my 'natural' territory is China Hat's open and fast trail system or a similar race course (Eddieville/Starvation Ridge for you locals), but instead of spending my day being terrorized by trees and rocks and hills the little TE put a big smile on my face. With this thing I might actually start to like riding in the woods.
