• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TXC250 2010 ECU Reflash

Ex HVUK

Husqvarna
AA Class
As has been talked about in other threads there is now available a revised ECU map for the 2010 TE & TXC250 which enhances low speed running, up to around 1/4 throttle.

Affected chassis number ranges are as follows:

TE 250 i.e. with ECU map version E010R603: VIN ZKHA300AAAV till 001274
TE 250 i.e. USA with ECU map version E010R603: VIN ZKHKCECF#AV till 000147
TXC 250 i.e. with ECU map version E010R603: VIN ZKHTX250#AV till 004022

Please note that if you have fitted the Leo Vinci silencer & matching ECU then you already have the latest mapping.

UK dealers will shortly have the required tooling to reflash ECUs on affected bikes, for other markets I would suggest talking to your dealer first to see how this action is being handled in your country.

Whoohoo! I'm 005 on the VIN. Thanks for the update, Dave. I'll be asking my dealer about this in the near future.

Thanks Dave. This is good to get out in the open.

FYI - if your dealer does not have the re-flash tool (they are expensive for dealers to buy) Halls has it in the usa, and ScottyR has it in Canada.

Last time this happened the ecus could be mailed and updated.

You may want to give Husky USA time to digest this. As of last week I was quoted as "there is no such thing as a re-flash".

Hellllooooo.... anyone? Is this for real?
I'm at my wits end... just about to get the marvelous 310 instead...

Quick update - we've done quite a few bikes in the UK now and it works great. Tool is easy to use and the bike runs as you would expect now, much improved up to 1/4 throttle.

Nice new avatar Dave.

Is this a update similar to the other updates? It can be done with an iBeat cable and the update software?

Thanks!

Update is exactly the same procedure as 2008 mods - ibeat cable combined with the update disc and USB security key. The software code is shown with the A suffix once the reflash is completed.

Perhaps the same security key as the last time?

Yes the key from the 08 kit works with the '10 upgrade disc. The complete '10 kit comes with it's own key.

Thanks Dave. I hope you will have a good start of the work week.

I will refrain from asking the obvious... but will continue to sit tight for a little while longer. I quite perplexed with regards to some of the communication issues with the USA & Italy.

te250

Hi Dave ,
I've just bought a 2010 te250 from Gear 4 and my vin ends in 000124. I take it that this means my bike needs a re-flash.
Cheers for any reply.
