  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
AA Class
Well, finally scored a TC exhaust for my bike. Ordered:

8000-H5995 - Copper ring gasket
" -H5992 - Flange

Bad news is Halls or the parts warehouse dosent have the 8000-H5994 (Outer Sleeve) in stock. Anyone know who else may have one in stock?

Also looking for the vented TC airbox cover.

Thanks in advance, Brandon

Looks like nobody has that part. And the Italians take the entire month of August off haha. Looks like ill be waiting a while.

I know Bills has the part cause they called me today to tell me it was in.I dont need it anymore so hit em up quick before its gone.

Installed my Megabomb and 4.1 Rct today, WoW love it its louder and deeper with a noticeable amount more low end torque.
Also I had trouble getting the 70mm springs {for a decent price} so I am trying 75mm so far so good.

When I ordered my parts from my LBS they said there was only one available and that was a month ago. Sorry but I snagged it and Zip Ty fixed it after I bent it. Thanks again Zip Ty, the bike is bad ass now.

Awesome. That seems to be the ultimate setup. Does the Megabomb require the TC Header or will it bolt on to the TE ?
On a side note...If anyone happens to have an extra stock header gasket for a 449/511 that they would be willing to part with I
would pay good $ to get my hands on one. I've called around and no one seems to have one in stock and then the whole Italian vacation
thing. PM me if you have one for sale, please.....

The Megabomb only suits TC and wont suit the TE silencer.
When I was buying the Flange, Gasket and sleeve, I got some from Bills and the rest from R&D Husky from here in Australia.
You could try them if you are that hard up
http://www.husky.com.au

Also the 75mm springs are working fine $4 ea from the Yamaha-KTM shop down the road.

Also the FMF tc449 exhaust system does not use any gaskets other than a metal washer, so it's permanent.
