  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

te license plate bracket and turn signals

nep2012

Husqvarna
A Class
it was inevitable given the design I broke one of my rear turn signals and my license plate is getting ready to break from constant bending back and forth. I own a 2012 te310 and am looking to replace both the turn signals and get rid of that black license plate bracket that hangs down. Does anybody have any advice on aftermarket to replace?

Call Bills and get the rubber plate holder. They also have the signal relocation brackets to retain the signals but I deleted mine and use hand signals because I got sick of replacing broken rear turn signals. http://billshusky.com/

+1 on the rubber flapper from Bill's. For turn signals, I like the billet aluminum ones from HDB.IMG_0893.JPG

Thanks for the info. I noticed in your picture the seat. Looks like a more comfortable seat than the stock seat. Went on a 120 mile ride yesterday and my butt was in pain.

Ya that picture is a bit old from last year. I sold that seat and am trying a tall gutz setup for this season. I liked the seatconcepts but it was too low for my long legs. This what I have on now--->

Nice seat!! Looks like you got a few add ons. How do you like the Recluse? couple riding buddies just put the Recluse on and they like it. They ride a Yam 450 and a KTM 450. I noticed you have a different spring on your rear shock. What shanges have you made from stock. Oh yeh I still have the stock Metzler Karoo tires which are so-so. I was wondering about suspension as I am 202lbs. I was told the suspension is not set up for riders weighing 200 lbs.

Yes a few add ons have snuck their way on my bike... Haha So far the Rekluse is amazing. Just having a stall proof bike is worth it's weight in gold. More reviews to come on the auto clutch though. The suspension is setup by MXTech which I am blessed with as a local shop. www.mx-tech.com I have a rear spring weight of 6.5 kg and .50 in the forks. I am around #225 for reference. The valving and such was all done by Jeremy at mxtech and I don't know jack about the details. I just ride the crap out of em and suspension setup isn't my specialty. The seat definitely makes transitioning from seated to standing easier on my aging knees. I am looking forward to a great riding season with the freshened up bike. Hell ya! #pumped! Sorry I just finished watching the SX from Detroit...#testosterone...

Motoz front tire and MX51 rear for now. I have a trials tire waiting to mount on the rear once it dries out. Engine mods, yes. TXC ECU with the 12 hole injector and full FMF exhaust. Obviously all the restriction garbage has been removed already. Just started playing with the iBeat CO settings Friday trying to dial in the new exhaust.

I just ordered the rubber plate holder from Bill's. Did you have to cut anything to mount it there is that little part of the white plastic that extends out from under the tail light after you take the stock plate holder off, it extends out past the bottom of the tail light.

Remove the taillight from the rear fender and trim the tab on the rubber plate holder so that it will fit between the bottom of the taillight assembly and the fender. After you have it in place, run a punch up through the mounting holes in the fender and through the rubber. Take it back out and drill holes where the punch marks are, put everything back in place, and re-install the mounting bolts. You may have to file down the height of the aluminum bushings on the mounting bolts since the thickness of the black plastic thing you removed is no longer there.

We tear through turn signals as well as many other motorcycle accessories running our motorcycle tours. We had to come up with a turn signal that would take that kind of abuse. We now carry the tuff lights which are led and pretty tough to destroy. I believe they retail for 59, but your CH discount applies.
