• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE 630 new carbon parts

duca99

Husqvarna
B Class
Hy friends,

I started a project to manufacture by myself some carbon parts for my Husky. The final target of this project is to build the tank's side covers and, finally a new Dakar-stile windscreen (like the one used by the Husqvarna speed brain team for rallyes).

Really I do not know if I'll finish the project, but this is the beginning: the left side tank cover ( I don't know exact definition).

I took the stock one and I modified the upper side in order to be more linear and taller (in order to be the base for the new windscreen), it's not finished yet, I do have to polish it but this image could explain the appearance.

What do you think about it?

Looks like a lot of work!!! Contratulations and looking foward to the finished product along with the upper fairing.

Great work!!! It's not easy but your doing it!!! If you can make a upright ralley/Dakar fairing I could be your first customer!!:popcorn::busted:

If you can do all the plastics including headlight cover Ill give you 500 USD
Thanks Huskyfly and TIGER,

for the moment this is only my hobby (I'll manufacture the right plastic today), but the project is to proceed with the fairing and, finally, rear plastic including and covering a new (integrated) baggage support.

Let's see; I know a company here that could reply and produce components in litlle series..

here attached a (terrible, sorry for that) graphic elaboration of the new fairing

Definitive version will be modelled in clay directely on the bike with new carbon parts mounted.

Bye,

Not to copy anyone but these guys make a great kit for KTM. www.rallymotokit.com/

If you can incorporate the lights they use from BlackDog Cycle Works.....I'm ALL OVER IT!!!

Not to put any pressure on you, I AM SERIOUSLY looking for a more study upright fairing than what I have now. I wish you great luck and hardy success!! keep us posted!! :applause::thumbsup:

The original fairing bulges outward and hits my knee. Yours looks slimmer ... I like that. Hope it turns out well.

Hi, I had a look to the website you posted: it seems a good job but a little bit too squared (that's my personal opinion...) I went also on BlackDog site to look for circle LED lights (my project is to use the stock light+ two round LED ad in my awful drawing), but I didn't find something for my scope, I'll continue my search for this component..

 (this emoticon is from my daughter)

cheers,

Well, considering I hate white, that looks awesome! The only complaints I have about my bike is the big 630 on the side and all that white!

love what you're doing duca! in your drawing the fairing looks quite narrow. Have a look at this one which give real protection and fixes to the bike with cnc billet to hold roadbook, ico etc

Hi Mike, can you give details of this fairing an, if possible, pics from other sides? maybe you already posted somewhere in the forum but I didn't find them.

Have you also details of used lights?

ciao,
