Picked up bike from Workshop , just to find out, that the starter wont Crank over.
Bike is in Warranty , but dealer was to busy to get going on it. ?!?
Bike got 2600km on the meter.
So i pulled the starter out, which wasn't really as easy as i thought.
You have to remove the Main Water hose from Water pump to Radiators.
then remove the 2 bolts which hold the starter in place. Then lift the starter out between Engine and Frame.
Without removing the Main T Water hose, there is no way or almost no way to get it out without removing the hose.
So i opened the starter and before i did that, i saw the 2 Rubber seals were squeezed out and couldn't properly Seal the unit any more.
As i pulled the end piece of , dirt and black crap came out of it. The Spoole was rusted and the Brushes were stuck in the Slide.
The Bike would only start with a tap on the starter..
I cleaned up Spool and Contact Surface with Scotch Brite. Cleaned inside aswel with Scotch brite.
Removed the two brushes and got them nice free moving again in the slides.

The Genuine Rubber seals damaged and stretched, i needed s solution. I figured i take a 30mm diameter Oring and istall this one instead.
When you look at pictures, the O-ring Seals perfect. The starter itself is easy to open and Maintain.
So i installed it back on to the bike and all good.
