  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te 449 fill up oil after 200 km

Your bike uses 1/3 of a quart of oil in 125 miles? That's seems like quite a bit, my bike uses that much oil in 1000 miles and it has 10,000 miles on it.

@older huskyrider: Might be it because i use the wrong viscosity oil? I use SAE 15/50 in tropical weather, what is your viscosity oil? Thank you for your info

I am using 15w50 Mobil1 synthetic, this summer, it was over 90-95F every day I rode. I wouldn't use anything less than 50w in this motor, it needs the viscosity.

How far up on the sight glass are you filling your oil to? It is possible that your oil ended up in your air box. Your oil should be at the bottom of the sight glass when cold and never be over the half way on the sight glass when hot.

@ tinken: i always fill up oil until the glass full of oil when its cold, after i ride about 200km the oil was at the bottom of glass level,

@OlderHuskyRider: we use the same viscosity and have same weather, dont know why my bike soo leak of oil, i just run my bike about 4000Km, there's no oil leak come out from the block of ongine, i only saw leak oil at the exhaust

Your oil is most likely in your air box, leave oil level at the bottom of the sight glass. :)
