  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am just about to fit an athena 300cc kit to my 2009 Te250, Does anyone out there know of any cheap mods to do eg: Save head- Dail in cams- and or Ecu adjustments. Any sought of advice would be greatly Apprieciated.

I am running the Husky Race ECU for the 300 in mine and I LOVE IT. Spot on fueling. Easy starts, hot or cold. Seamless from idle all the way up. No flame out, no popping, just clean linear power.

Husky part number H80002002

I'm running the JD Jetting FI module of mine... it previously had the RACE MODE and I thought it was slow... I plugged in the adjustable module and it REALLY woke it up... $208.

Thanks guys, Ive just got on to Australias number 1 husky dealer (Full Throttle Motorcycles) and they said that you can bring the compression up to 13.5-1 and dail in the stock cams and run the 300cc kit with Jd jetting module and get 37 to 38hp at the back wheel running a road tyre. They had a 08 te250 with a 300cc kit and ran a 13.5-1 comp by shaving the head and a bit off porting, dialed in the cams and ran a power commander module and got 40hp on the back wheel, So i will give them the whole lot to do.
