  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Te 310 2011 losing power or have no power when you put gas on the bike

After reading all the posts on te 310 problems, I am not sure, that I have the same problem. The bike is losing power and no specific reason to say when is it losing it. Generaly it happens after 30 minutes and generaly always when I try to get the max from the bike (immediat max gas). Instead of giving the max that he can, he does "uauuuuuuu" and stays on spot.... Than it is immposible to get the bike to move (no power from the bike). With time and some slow gas riding (with not normal bike functioning - bike is trying to get a normal power), the bike starts to function almost normal. But the same problem occours in next half an hours. When you need the power the most, bike will lose it, so very risky to do a hill climbs. And the engine will die, if I try to gas it. If I let go of the gas, it the engine will continue to work, but imposible to go on.... The triky thing is, that it is not happening all of the time (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt).

We checked the connectors, we checked the battery (it is not new, but still have more than 77% of power, when cold).... It almost seems as something would be blocking the air to get into the bike, but that with time and with attempts to get the power, the blockage is put away and it can breath normaly. But the air filter is clean and properly oiled. And the air box well fixed.

So It is impossible to ride the bike on really hard terrain, since generaly, when I start to push the bike, the bike don't want to work properly. Anybody have/had the same problem? How did you solve it?
