• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC TE 300 2016 problems from beginning

huskyte300aus

Husqvarna
Hi all

Bought a new husky te 300 three weeks ago nothing but a headache not just the bike but the dealer too...

not even a week old oil leaking from rear shock... dealer orders wrong graphics kit and tells me the one he ordered was the one all enduro riders run...? Not what I aked for. ?.. plus the exhaust system was ordered wrong......

I asked if husqvana would replace the shock the dealer said they would only replace the seals ...as in seal kit..... not good for 13 thousand dollars on a bike...

now 2 weeks later the electronic speedo has moisture in the screen and completely stoped working...

A new bike should be a joy fun and exciting but this husky should be given back or ridin through the shop front window

What's your thoughts before I go back to the dealer??

Sounds like more of a dealer problem, obviously no the faults with the bike but the fact they're not throwing brand new parts your way. At minimum he should remove the shock from another bike & give it to you then do the seal kit on your leaking one himself, you're right $13k you should be out enjoying it not dealing with issues & that's what the shop should be trying to do for you too.

Sorry to hear mate

Jeeez.....I don't even own the bike and I'm mad. Really, you need to keep on them, they represent Husqvarna.

Ask them.....Let's see, Iv'e owned the bike three weeks and have had 3 problems right out of the gate......how
would you feel as a customer? I agree, get them to replace the shock, get the correct graphics and just keep putting the
screws to 'em............$13K is a lot of coin, and those kind of issues are unacceptable. Bring the little Husqvarna "Welcome-Valkommen"
booklet that comes with each shiny new bike, and ask them to read the first few pages for you about Heritage, and Craftsmanship and Quality......hang on every word......

Been back to the dealer. There replacing the speedo apparently worldwide recall on speedo 's as for the rear shock husqvarna apparently said to do a seal kit ? Not sure about the dealer could be telling tails?

not sure when it comes back? Not really fussed dont really feel like talking to thd dealer... hard not to be very angry:censored:

Who's the dealer outta curiosity?

Did they order ya correct graphics n exhaust system?

Don't get down on the bike mate, shit happens, jus try be positive n enjoy it. Dealer shoulda swapped your shock out for floor bike while waitin for parts if he was serious bout repeat positive word of mouth business.
If it's any consolation my fork seals went a few rides into owning my 13 wr125!

Courious how you pay 13K for a 2016 TE300? Accessory's? or major financing?
Why did you accept the wrong pipe? Put the stock one back on and have them reorder the right one.
If a seal fixes the leak, then the problem is fixed. If its not fixed then go for the shock. I think the warrant is only 30days at the most. If you have a leak on your engine under warranty, they will replace the gasket, not replace the engine.
Dealer could be a bit more helpful though.

Aus dollar not US.

Sucks man. I hope they make good on everything and get you sorted because the bike is actually amazing.

Aus warranty is 6 months I think but may only be parts not labour. Can't really expect a new shock but if parts were gonna be awhile then swappin shock over woulda bn good will on his behalf

Looking at the Husky website, the closes authorised dealer is Powersport Central in Morissett and might be worth your while contacting them and discussing the issues you've posted. If that doesn't work then contact Stefan at R&D Husky as they are authorised by AHG and the original importer, distributors, dealer for Husqvarna when they were swedish!!
As the blokes here have stated, it's bullshit what this stealer is doing as all he is hurting is the the brand and his name not to mention you.

Warranty on any new bike sold in Australia starts from the period that you have bought it not by the amount of time it sits on the floor. New bike warranty on a dirtbike is no different to a roadbike so that defective shock, the dealer will be advised it's a repairable unit free of charge unless it's physically damaged...as Shawry said, good dealers swap it out to better their image and customer friendliness..
Aftermarket decals are just that, aftermarket and that is wholly on the dealer/shop, if they ordered the wrong kit, don't pay for it and have them order the right kit or seek reimbursement if you prepaid....really sounds like this dealer knows nothing about Husky's or he/she is a crap accessories person!!!

AHG is the main distributor for both KTM and Husqvarna with Husqvarna going through their business unit called HQVA Pty Ltd 13-39 Pilbara Street Welshpool WA 6106 (08) 9351 6603.

Yep, 13K for a dirtbike is a crap load of money for a biek that's going to get scratched but that's the world we live in ATM...btw, the bike is good, name and shame the dealer on this forum.

28 hrs on my '16 and second speedo failed with same moisture problem. First failed @ 10 hrs.
Let the dealer know last Friday and got news today that Ktm will replace it but on back order.
3 months on warranty BUT it is a well known failing part and your dealer should be aware of this and submit a claim.
Put an aftermarket hour meter on from new( thank god) as it would have sucked losing hours on speedo for servicing..
Contact husqvarna directly and voice your concerns and they will sort it..
