• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tasky's demo day 10-21-12 - Everett, WA

PC.

Husqvarna
AA Class
Anyone going? It's the day after the Everett endurocross.

I secured an invite, but I'm not 100% sure if I'll go or not. Does anyone know what bikes they'll have to demo and/or any details on the location? Track, trails, etc...

Just check our site, all the bike info is there on the flyer. TC250's, WR300, TE310's, TXC310's, TE449, TR650Terra, Vintage tent with lots of cool Huskys from yester-year. Pro Endurocross riders, And of course you never know what other bikes will be there :)
Track location (10 minutes from Everett Endurocross) and details will be sent in your invite e-mail, as this event is on private land.

Later,
Jeff Tasky

I'd like to give a big thanks to Taskys Metric Cycle and Husqvarna for putting on a great Demo day! Really, how often do you get to demo the new lineup from ANY manufacturer, let alone get to trail ride the piss out of them on private trails. Not to mention a free lunch, and swag. Husky and Taskys really came through for their customers.

It really was a 1st class event. Got plenty of time to try all sorts of different bikes, and the weather conditions couldn't have been better.

I had a great time and found my next bike. I've been thinking/talking about getting a TE310 for a couple of years. The demo ride convinced me.
