• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just wanted to say thanks to all of the people on this forum and the incredible amount of information and general helpfulness from the people. I recently sold my 2009 TE510, and although it was an incredibly hard decision, I just found myself fixing it and being too apprehensive to ride it due to how difficult it was to getting parts in my area and also my main dealer passing away who was incredibly helpful with working on my bike. Still riding though, just picked up a 2005 DRZ400e, and hopefully one day I'll be able to find another red head Husky. Again, just making the post to thank the great people of this Husqvarna community. Ride on.

You don't have to leave just because you sold the Husky. Heaps of good stuff here relevant to bikes generally.

wheres the ktm big 500 at? now that sounds like fun!
I raced a 1985 KTM 500 in Baja in 1985, '86 & '87. My memories of that bike are: 1), Brutally fast, 2), Built like a battle ship, and 3), It drank more fuel than a Sailor on Liberty. True fact; our 460 big block Ford chase truck got better MPG than our KTM race bike did...

Still have the KTM though, never gonna get rid of her, its an incredible machine. Hopefully one day I'll be able to track down some nice replacement parts and get a good restoration on her. Not gonna leave the forum though, still love to read all the new info.
