  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone knows any other brands and models of bikes which have similar front shock setup to the 2007 SM/WR/WRE 125?

The 2007 SMS 125 (and probably most other years) came stock with Marzocchi 40mm unadjustable forks. Mine are getting a little rough and I was looking to pickup some decent used adjustable ones but I'm trying to get away without changing my triple clamps. Unfortunately most eBay listings aren't providing all the measurements I need and I'm not finding much other than vintage shocks when searching for Husqvarna OEM ones. I've been having better luck with the rear suspension as most sellers are listing the bolt mount dimensions.

the Zokes can be tuned, they were a diamond well maybe a ruby in the rough, just need some love ya know
most forks are a little different and the triples are made to adapt them
Beta ran these with a little better valving

Ive managed to get some newer forks, they are the same as my current ones only much newer so I took the opportunity to take my old ones apart for a look at whats going on inside. Damn the things were a mess, I don't think the previous owner ever even looked at them!

One thing I have noticed though is that one fork has no spring? It would appear as if one leg was rebound and the other compression...

Anyone able to tell me a bit more about these forks or provide a manual? I have no idea what model they are - the only thing I do know is they come on the WRE/SMS 125 and the more recent SMR/TE 125.
