    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Suspension Shop Recomendations Near Irvine California?

I've decided to lower my '10 TE250 a bit by shortening the forks and shock. I have a 28" inseam, and just want to be able to have one foot on the ground and reach the footpeg on the other side! I've already cut the seat and tried a Kouba link, and sliding the forks up but still need a bit more. Especially on hillsides and other awkward spots this would be helpful. Frankly, seeing that the factory is offering the 2012 with 50mm lowering has made me more comfortable doing this aduustment.
Any recommendations for a shop in Orange County, CA? I was considering going with RaceTech in Corona, but was hoping for someone closer. I also know we have some good board sponsors who do this kind of work, but I don't want to ship the parts as I want to see the effect on the bike at the shop when the work is completed.
Two recommendation I have gotten, if anyone has comments on them, is Clean Racing with Steve Searcey and Provalve with Nick.
Any other places or comments on those?

Fineline in Huntington Beach...They have been around along time...very respected shop. Also RG3 is down there...they do Dungees suspension...

They closed up and moved to TX.

I would call 3-bros racing for a suggestion close by.
Others north that seem to be popular are Too Tech, and of course, Race Tech in Corona. Malcolm Smith seems to do a lot of work with Race Tech.
A racing friend has a private guy they use that's extremely knowledgable and very reasonable...bump if you're interested and I'll track down contact info.
 
Precision Concepts in Riverside. Bob Bell did a very nice job on both my TE450 and my KX250.
 
P.C. Did my 250x with great results. I was thinking of having them do my te310, but i worry about if they or others really know how to work on the marzocchi shock. Post your results when you find someone, I'd by interested.
 
I ended up calling everybody within reach and then going to Provalve in Costa Mesa. Nick there was incredibly helpful, and by all appearances did a great job. Beautiful super clean shop and he was very atentive to all my questions and curiosity (I'm an engineer). Price seemed reasonable too, compared to the other quotes I got.
It was also GREAT that he took the whole bike, as that way I was able to see the results when picking it up. And it did seem to help him get things "just so" as opposed to having to guess sags etc. I really wanted that as opposed to shipping the forks and shock somewhere.
Call Nick, I recommend him!
