• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

if you have a look the flannel goes dow on to the pants as well just need a pair of ugg boots and they could double for your pyjamas as well****************************************

By FIM rules and E3 Environmental laws in europe, you have to have a carpet under the bike in the pit area so that fuel doesn't spill on to the soil below.

Those forks appear to be Paioli / KYB 48mm forks as marketed by Poletti Racing of Italy (the euro importer of KYB products). These are / were similar (or the same as) the forks that came as OEM on TM bikes, which coincidentally were favored over the Zokes and Ohlins option by the French enduro riders. If these are the semifactory version of the KXF450 fork, then they should be SWEEEEEET. That would go a long way toward shutting up the magazines about the sucky OEM zokes on the Huskies.
 
With the right shim stack and spring rates speced the twinchamber 50mm Zokes are fantastic. Both my 09 WR125 and my buddy Jakes TXC250 as VERY good stock. My revalved TXC450 forks were one of if not the best forks I have ever tried including Factory Connection Showas. If they don't spec the right internals it does not matter who builds the fork.
 
point well taken...my revalved fork from Watson is excellent, as is the shock...I am thinking from a broader appeal, a move to KYB is a wise one.

Interesting bit of information there TM... regarding the Paioli-KYB connection. The forks on my Sherco are Paioli Kayaba "Joint Venture". Your post sheds a bit of light on that collaboration.

As I knew nothing about them when I bought the bike, I was initially very apprehensive about their performance, but after a bit of break-in and damper adjustment tuning, they turned out to be some of the plushest riding forks I've ever had.

If Husky goes to a similar fork, I think most Husky riders will be quite happy with the performance.
Sherco has gone to a Ceriani fork on their 2009 models, unknown reasons as to why.

A couple of friends have Paioli-Kayabas on their VOR's, very nice forks.:cheers:
