  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

supermoto

I'm not a mod specialist but I believe it all depends on the kind of sumo riding you pretend and the budget you can manage for the conversion.
Do you have anything specific in mind?

Could someone tell me mods I would have to do to turn my te 310 supermoto ?

17" wheels 3.5 front 4.25-4.5 rear (5" for racing).
Tires and tubes
Taller gearing (I am running 13/42).
EBC 320mm rotor and relocation bracket (stock front brake is fine if not racing).
2012 630 SMR kickstand (if not racing).

Racing/Track Prep: Drill and safety wire oil fill/drain plugs
Install radiator overflow/catch can (drain coolant, fill with water weter/engine ice)
crankcase vent catch can
Axle and peg sliders (to protect the track)
Wrap around hand guards or bar sliders (to protect the track)
Remove lights etc, some tracks allow covering them with tape?
Remove kick stand

Are you looking to race, do a few track days, street ride?

I have a set of 17" wheels for my TE450, all I do is street ride at a moderate pace. I'm running the stock suspension and stock front brake and I have a lot of fun on the bike. In the past, I have bought street tires to fit the stock rims (18/21) and that's a lot of fun also.

I bought a set of motard wheels from Warp 9 racing for my 310. They included an oversized disc on the front and a relocation bracket for the caliper. You choose your sprocket size and if you want, they will mount/balance your tire of choice. I suggest calling them if you are interested.
