  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hey,

just noticed this thread. i own a SM125. It shares the same specs as WRE125 2008 model. I dont know if this model is available there. im running on 110 front tyre and rear 150. Currently on Bridgestone Battlax BT90. The stock Dunlop A10 wear off and overheat too fast. These are some specs bout my bike cheers.

Mr X, do you ride your bike on the street or track only? How is it on the street? Do you feel like it has enough power? I am looking to tag/supermoto my cr125 for my 5 mile commute through the twisties every day and want to know if it would be worth it or if I should sell for something bigger? Can it cruise at a decent clip without being completely wrung out?

I have a WR 300, but i don´t know if the width of the swingarm is the same, but i use 165/55x17 rearwheel. Cut slick. (Early spring so raintyre at front)

I dont how much difference is sm125 from cr125 but for sure the sm125 is built for road and track use.the fuel consumption is good; between 20-23km/litre.i have 42000km mileage since 17 jan 2009. Problems so far; c.d.i crashed once, valve motor spoilt once and some wiring issues. Other than that, following the servicibg schedule, the bike is fine. I hit 157km/hr before with 28mm carb, 47t rear sprocket and arrow full system exhaust.
