  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What exactly would I need to do to convert a TE 510 into a SUPERMOTO besides wheels and tires? :usa:

Anyone have input for this person? I've got no clue.

You'll need a bigger brake if you plan on doing any frisky riding on the street. You'll probably need a different hanger for the caliper, too.

Stiffer suspension is also a must for spirited riding on pavement.

You might need to shorten your sidestand.

It might be helpful to have a cash fund on hand for paying tickets and escalating insurance policies, too:D

Sprockets for gearing change to accomodate the 17's.

Anyone that has SM'd their TE knows that.

If your just riding on the street then all stock equipment will work, just change out the wheels, run stock te rotors etc. You will need to go to halls website and order a 15/42 sprocket combo to do freeway comfortably though. If you are going to the track, buy the 320 front rotor adapter from R and D husqvarna out of australia and get a 320mm disc and reuse your stock caliper. If you are full on race then buy a complete brembo radial caliper kit. Everything on the rear is directly the same you just have to work on the front brake choices depending on your poison. You can PM me and I will shoot you my number if you have specifics. I have done this to my 08 TE

Hello. One question, i need now. One byer is wonder this-Does sm510r 2010 standard wheels fit 2012 TE310??

My 07 510 SMR wheels fit my 11 TE 250. I sold the 510, so I used some of that money to buy a set of $$$
wheels.

Attached are pics of Stock SMR wheels and the Marchies

I just put 17" SMR wheels on my TE449, with TE449 Dis, it is quite an expensive operation when you add everything up.

Need a slightly bigger spacer on the front wheel, as the disc on SMR is stepped slightly. It pulled the fork inwards and stopped the wheel spinning as it was tight against the disc.
The disc needed drilling out to 8mm, as the SMR is 8mm threads in the rim., I had to counter sink the disc also a little more.
Speedo will be calibrated different.

Rear was a straight swap, had to fit a new shorter chain, with a talon 45T sprocket. I have only ridden it 50 odd miles so far and mine is not run in yet so not sure of the gearing, as speedo not working and no rev counter, I do know I hit 85 MPH quite comfortable using a GPS.
Had to shorten the side stand.
The Chain clip also rubs slightly on the bottom back black chain guard, I have tried pulling it away, but it springs back, I am not sure why this happens but not too worried as the clip is rotating the right way to push it on and not pull it off.

Tyres not scrubbed in yet, but first thoughts great fun, there are not many variations though on tyre sets on the SMR rim sizes for oem's but I have Mich Pilot sports on there.

If I had to chance to start over not sure I would use SMR rims, but not to sure of other options, but in the UK there is a company who makes rims also called Talon Engineering, I guess they ship all other the world.

Hello. Can some one messure T510 swingarm for me, How long its is, if it is longer than the SMR model.
