    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I finished it today, At least the mechanical stuff, still need to jump thru hoops to get the plate. I wheeled it out onto the porch and fired it up yesterday, all seems to be good, next time we get a warmish day I'll try to pass the inspection and turn in the paperwork. I took everything but the engine (still in great shape) apart, replaced all the parts that had problems, updated the ignition and coil with a modern 12 volt system and added lights and all that other stuff to bring it up to code for use on the road as well as trails. I learned so much in the process. Thanks everyone here on Cafe Husky for all your help. Can't wait for the snow to go away!barebike2.jpgHuskyDone.jpg

Um... I am the wife, I take my husband's (and kids) bikes in the house to work on them too. If you guys didn't figure it out, I'm a woman, I didn't say so up front because I sometimes don't get taken seriously.
 
i knew there was a family involved i remember when you backed the over bike in the driveway u bought the parts u fixed it and i asked if u had a sister:lol: man it sure seems some of us guys on here scored big time in the wife department you gals are awsome:thumbsup::thumbsup: as i often tell mine[ Boobs i woodn't trade you for a new Ford truck]:cheers:
