• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stonyford this weekend? Mar 12,13

Any Nor-Cal locals want to help us scout out Stonyford this weekend?
We want to see what the trails look like after all the snow and cold temps
the area endured in the last few weeks. I'll get some photos of the group campground I've reserved for our upcoming Husky Ride, too. There's a chance of rain both days but don't let a little mud and snow scare you off!

We'll be there this Saturday and Sunday, and will probably be camped in the Fouts Springs campground just past the Gray Pine Group Campground

No can do. My foot's still not recovered (will be months until full recovery). I'm headed to Salinas bright and early Saturday to beef up the kickstand. A fellow rider has a shop with welding equipment, etc. Afterwards I'm probably headed to Hollister, although I won't ride much. I shouldn't ride at all, but I have a brand new bike and I'm gonna ride it even if I only do a couple loops on green trails, dammit! My 310 hasn't even seen dirt yet (except for 10' of a driveway).

Bee careful and heal up well, Curt, so you can ride with us in a few weeks! Should be nice down at Hollister

I need time away from the computer. I will try to leave before the 4pm rush over the bridge.

See you there. Leave me a message on the cell phone if there are any changes.

Woodschick,

Can you teleport me down there? Snow is getting extremely irritating.

Oh, I wish I could have! You might have liked it there...it was awesome!! We ran into a little snow but nothing too bad. There are some northern exposure trails that we couldn't ride but as long as we don't get any major cold spells between now and March 25th things should be great!

I'll post more photos tomorrow in the "Spring Fling" thread. I gotta go to bed...I'm beat!

Those pics look so inviting. Wish we could exchange some of our summer for some of your winter:)

I would have gladly traded you some snow a few weeks ago for some warm temps, but things are starting to look good around here

Spring is a really fun time to ride in California!
