  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stock or FMF

Im thinking of buying a sparky insert for my stock muffler and ditching the FMF Q4 I have on there now. The Leo is such a higher quality piece. Any thoughts???

I would trade a Leo for my FMF ... FMF are priced good for what you get but not exotic at all, never have been.

I am thinkink to fit a complete Akro system to my TE310 2011 any thoughts?
Should i go with the Leo?

Depends on the FMF. You can't base all of FMF products on low end P4 silencer. My exhaust system produces higher power than even an Akro evo one and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
The FMF Q4 is a quiet based silencer. It is a compromise between a rct 4.1 and a stock silencer. For trail riders, the stock exhaust is fine. For racing, adapting a 4.1rct to a custom header for the 310R would be ultimate.

Just bought a FMF Q4 for my 2013 TE449 for $240...

Also bought the FMF 040288 POWERCORE 4 MODULAR QUIET CORE INSERT for $34...

Can't wait to put it on...will turn on Race Map II too...

Are you sure it fits a TE or a TC? Didn't know they made a Q4 for the TE...
Also the pc4 is a different silencer.

Installed it this weekend...30 min job...Didn't go for a ride yet...It's loud...even with a db silencer...
