After a few years with a DRZ400E, I have decided on a Husky probably the TE310, I just had a couple of questions as conflicting answers seem to come up online...
- On the TE310 which years used the 450 chassis etc and therefore made the bike a lot heavier?
- I am thinking about a 2011 model and the weight in some reports seems 234lbs dry which is great up to the tanky DRZ!
- Seat height, apparently changed at some point or was this just on the 250 TE?
I am basically 6'2" and 210lbs and find the DRZ400 a well heavy bike and want rid, I am hoping this to be a lighter far more better bike with not too much maintaining if I get a fairly new 2011 plate.
Thanks

I have a 2012 TE310 and had a DR650 before this bike. I know what a Porky bike feels like and I can tell you that the 2011 TE310 won't disappoint you. The 2011 and 2012 are essentially the same with some cosmetic differences. I rode some practice enduro loops last night with a group of KTM's and 2 other Husky riders. One of the guys had a 2011 TE310 and other than frame color paint and graphics our bikes were identical. I say go for it you will love the TE off road for sure. It is amazing in the woods if geared right. I am running 13/50 and might go up a couple on the rear. On road will suffer but it sounds like you want a better off road bike and the TE310 is that bike. Good luck
