• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Some endurocross on the CR125...

Husqvarna
Pro Class
I came out of retirement for a brief moment to ride a local enduro cross...

I rode the 35+ class and we had 5 old guy and one fast moto girl that enjoys a challenge.

This poor bike just keeps on ticking.

And some videos...

Practice, we talking about Practice!
qualifying heat for gate pick...
and the 35+ class main event...

I ended up first in class, probably should have been in the open expert class but that was mostly local pro moto guys and a few pro enduro cross guys. I had to keep talking myself out of jumping in with them, I think I would have been about mid pack but that is a lot of pressure.

There was even a quad class...

The pros were looking good out there.

The pro moto guys had some problems...

My friend Keith took the overall win and put some cash in his pocket.

Later,

That looked awesome! I need a beater bike for events like this. I know theres no way id bring myself to smash my way through rocks and logs on my 125 id feel too bad for it! A nice cheap kdx200 with suspension work sounds like what i need to find something like that anyway i dont know!

Ha, just started watching the first video and started cracking up when you passed the guy on the minibike.

Looks and sounds great with your new avenue of approach... Meaning this might your (racing) niche :) ...With all that said, try to remember wisdom is what is gained from previous endeavors in life ... Some of us gain wisdom. Some of us don't ...
