• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Some 2016 MX model info.

It's business ...When the first re-branded Husqvarna\KTMs bikes sold well and at a price higher than original models (ktm) that are already on the high-end of the pricing model of the dirt bike world, none of this 'likeness' should be a surprise .. Including adding that piece of plastic as a selling point day 1, then finding out it was not as good as the previous sliced-bread on day 2, and now removing it on day 3 ... Nothing new in all this and time waits for no one ...

Bottom line is the Husqvarna brand of dirt bikes are selling well. And racing well ... Nothing new about those 2 statements either ...Without a live performance of your product, you might be a phony.

The new Husky must have a hidden message under all that smoke and mirrors. Because I am going to get one. After 10 plus years and a few # 1 National plates I am going to purchase a new Husky. That is not a easy thing to say but I had some thing go off inside me that says Shut up pull the trigger and ride a new Husky. So with that being said I sold my 2 time national # 1 bone stock Husky CR 125 to a friend of Walt Smith .Then I am now selling my National # 1 also 4 time KOM and 5 time LDS with 3 wins at LDS 165 to the Man himself Walt smith. Then I am selling my Husky Wr 250 pratice bike with 2014 Ty Davis KYB front and Ohliens rear all set up with the best to Huskynobee .That will still leave me with my ex Zip Ty Racing CR 300 and my Dual sport 510 So there is room now for a new work over Zip Ty Racing TE 300.
So looking forward to the start of 2016 on a new Husky I have only 1 DNF in over 10 years on a Italian Husky But those bikes are gone so I welcome the new Husky. Keep posting pictures and updates of the new bike as I am going crazy waiting

I hear ya and life moves on ...

Still committed to my ITL Huskies but there is an importer here of ktm bikes and I expect to see a newer Husky here for sale some day ... Not looking to purchase really, but in 2-3 yrs, I could own one of these new bikes if I'm still kicking ... These ITL bikes have almost never stopped on me either ... The one bike that is down now is because a 3rd party clutch device is busted in some manner. 3rd party part, not an OEM part.

Not to derail this. Do you have a thread on your rekluse issue?

And this slow guy it's really looking forward to having that trusty Italian steed in my hands. While I'm moving up in class next season my TE will be very happy to go back to DS and play ride duty.

I am proud to say that I got the OK from Ty to continue to fly the ZipTy colors and am looking forward to next year even though I still have some podium finishes left in the 449.

John, the new huskys are really good bikes, you will just spend more racing them.
