I'm looking to pick up a 2 stroke this winter. I'm selling my 2012 Super Tenere and using the $ to buy and setup the new bike. I have a few deals on paper already but I'm having some problems deciding. I was hoping yawl could go shopping with me here, so to speak.
I like the Gas Gas since it's pretty well decked out but she's a heavy gal.
The Husky's are really nice but I'm not sure I can afford another 4CS go round. How are the 2015 forks? My 2014 were a mess but MX-Tech took care of that for a good chunk of my running around $.
The KTM is also nice and is lighter than the Husky and Gas Gas but has a smaller fuel tank so I'd probably upgrade to a 3 gallon anyway so the weight is probably close to the Husky. The KTM has PDS and open chamber forks. All 3 bikes will be plated so no issues there.
I haven't decided on a 250 or 300 though. I haven't ridden a 2 stroke in a long time so maybe a 250 with a flywheel weight, knarly, G2 tamer and the green spring would be fine to tame the hit until I adjust my riding style. I'm keeping my 501 and I love the grunt so my gut tells me a 300 would be best for me with 14/50 gearing.
What says you?
