  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So, if a 65, 85, 150, 200, 250 and 350 was made, what would you purchase in the following years or lean towards?

I would get (2) 65's for the grand kids and probably a 200. I would keep the 125/144.

I would like a 200 with a 35mm pwk carb, easily adjustable power valves, electric start, 2.5 gallon tank, and under 210 lbs dry.

An 85 is sort of a guilty pleasure. Not too useful for an adult (even a small one like myself, but somehow I still had to own one:busted:). I have a couple of 200s and a 250 two stroke bike too....so the next one would have to a 150 or a 350....and since I can afford neither, how about both of them?:D

I love my 144/167 so I would have to say that if they put the 350(360) in the new frame with a button then I will own one. Perfect combination of bikes. If I could only have one then give me the 200 in the 125 frame with a true WR gear box, 100 watts of lights, Digital ignition with the dual positions, and you might as well put a button on it for us old short guys.

WR250, but only with an upgraded chassis,,, maybe not,
wait a second, did you see Garrison on the 300 at Glen Helen on the "old school" WR/CR300 it seemed to work fairly well at the highest level of MX.....right at the tip of the spear with very modern YZs.

Coming from a Honda 250 smoker to a WR 125, a 250 is not what I want but a 150 equipped with some convenience mods (steering damper and auto clutch) would be my deal.

125cc has OK power although 150 would be a bit more grin on my face without getting hammered down by the power after several hours of driving on the trails.

I'm leaning towards a 150 or 200, but I like it plain with kick only and manual clutch. Suspended with Ohlins TTX and reinforced radiators and full protection like skidplate and disc guards.

I like my 150. I could see having a 175 (167cc ?). I would rather one of them than a 200 that feels like a weak 250. Don't want a steering damper. Mine absolutly doesn't need one. Same for the so called auto clutch. HATE THEM ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************

A steering damper is in my opinion not to mask flaws in the motor bike as that mine husky doesn't need one either, but its a convenience item on some terains that i ride on especially when you go with some speeds over rocky terrain.

I have quite some jerks from the steering, driving over this kind of terrain while my friends bike (with damper) was cruising with one finger in his nose over the same stretch.

WR350(360) with new frame, multi ignition/powerband, magic button, hydro clutch, higher revving 348cc, big piston forls.*drool*

I'm thinking I would stick with the WR 250. I am the current owner of a Gas Gas 250, and have part interest in some rental bikes including a 250WR and 300WR. The Husky WR 250 may not have the "latest" chassis, but if price is a factor at all, the Husky is the best bike out there. It's fast, it turns, it's the easiest thing in the world to work on, and bonus, there's rarely a need to work on it unless you actually broke something by crashing!

My next two stroke, will be a 50. I'm thinking a PW50 or maybe a KTM for my son. He turns 3 on 5/08

, so I have about a year or so to make my decision. Now, we are working on the bicycle now.

UMMM have you ever ridden a TM vinduro? I like my Husky's but my 2011 TM 250 is well IMHO a better bike . I'm not gonna talk down the Husky bikes I have two and love my 08 CR144 but there are different bikes that some people just might think are a little better. I do wish the Huskys fit me as well as my GG300 but thats a short thing LOL. I kinda like what typeone and letitsnow have in mind, a ightweight 200 Husky made for the bottom-midrange; with my lower seat height!
