  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc So go Lectron, not PWK?

sweet! my rod was pretty lean from the way it was shipped but after adjusting it about a full turn or so it was close. mine has a 3-2xl rod, i would imagine yours to be pretty close to mine.
start a new thread when you get it and we can help if you need it. you will certainly look at carbs differently now

2premo also inspired me to get some new ignition pieces. Grabbing a new OEM coil, cdi, and magneto for 281 shipped. Want this thing perfect.

Thanks Justin....yeah, hopefully it's near ideal out of the box, but I will keep these points in mind after it goes on. I def will reach out if assistance is needed. Awesome response on this board for these items....

i strongly recommend getting the tool for adjusting the rod, you can make do with out it, but its nice to have..other wise you have to use a piece of cardboard and pliers..see if you can get one with the carb. many will say you dont need it, and you dont, but im one of those that like having the tool for the job sometimes.

mine was a bit lean too, about 1/2 turn, but the engine will determine it's needs
so many variables

btw, just go to parts finder on that website, ktm-parts.com and then at bottom put the actual part number into the product code area and click add to basket or something like that. Then, it will show up in the cart. Basically, their online catalog doesn't "show" all the old bikes, but their database has the old part numbers and can be found when using the parts finder tool as mentioned.

when i tried at Hall's they say it is not available anymore
but damn i will try as my trusty 93 is growing weak

Yeah, one of those parts wasn't avail on halls' site, that is true. However, I would imagine husky/ktm warehouses do have these....I'd think, as they're the same through '02 I believe, part number wise.

hmmm, kinda surprising old italian parts are available like this on that site...cool!

Could just be smoke and mirrors..and they don't have them, or some of them, as in BO'd, etc. We shall see what happens! If they do end up at my door, that was definitely a great price.

i went to the site typed the part number
it said call
yes, except the 92 model all 360's share a common ignition
wondering if the 250 and 125 have different curves for timing, they fit according to some sites like Thumper Talk

if you copy that number into the search box it will pop up as a part with a price you can add to your cart:thumbsup:

Just got some emails from ktm-parts.com

They're telling me: Magneto is discontinued! They're also telling me the coil is on BO with no ETA.

Son of a......

Ok, I'm trying motosport or halls for the coil...since I think no one has the magneto, that I know of yet, but I will keep looking.

Just ordered those (2) parts from motosport.com for $228 shipped. Let's see if they end up telling me the same.
