    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

SMS630/TE630 Aftermarket Parts and Goodies???

I understood while buying a Husky they were kinda rare but the lack of aftermarket parts is pretty of ridiculous. I've spent countless hours searching online for parts with disappointing results, I'm sure others have too. This thread should be for listing parts made specific to these bikes... or dare I say close?
 
I am lookin for a new chain and a new rear sprocket for SM630, preferably in "gold" colour, any idea on where to order it from? As I understan it - SM630 uses 520 chain, but how long?
 
Haha Actually that was one thing that attracted me to the TE630, and I'm being serious. Less temptation to waste money on a bunch of farkles and bling that you don't really need. All the mandatory basics are available. I can't think of one item that I actually need (versus only want or like) that I cannot find.

Husqvarna have got a web site with an extensive list of after market parts for each and every model. Anything on the list can be ordered from your local dealer. Don´t see how it can get better than that.

right on the money there.iown a bmw and husky for same advantge.would have spent mucho more dolla on aharley for example.looking for a good dirt tire for the 630...feels light enough to trail ride.any luck anybody

Find a good local powder coating business. The first thing I did was powder coat the ugly oem silver exhaust shields to black. What a night and day difference in my opinion. I guess that's considered a "goodie." ;)

How does that hold up to bike drops in the dirt? I'm thinking of doing that to my bike...
 
That rear sprocket is on borrowed time.... I like Ironman sprockets, never worn one out. Anybody have one for their 630 and have a part # they can pass on, or a place they found it?

The first question I should ask is if the 630 rear sprockets are the same as the 610?

"Why powder coat?" Why not? I don't mind spending a few extra bucks on my motorcycle so it looks good. If done properly a powder coated finish is very durable and looks like it came from the factory that way. In most cases a paint job done with a spray paint can looks like it was done with a spray paint can :p. To each his or her own :thumbsup:

Good point...I used rattle-can engine paint on my R1200GS when I dinged up a valve cover. You could not tell the difference from stock unless you got 12" from it and squinted.

I think I'll try the rattle can first. The powdercoat shop can always clean it off if I decide to go that route.
