  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Smrr510 Kit??

TC250209

Husqvarna
AA Class
TC510>SMRR510 MY07-10 8000H1088 $2,747.04

does anyone know the benifits of this kit?? I am looking at picking up a 2010 txc 510.. will be using it for ice racing/motard racing.. txc and tc 510 I think are the same spec engine?

That kit is made for the 530 rr race bike. It is a different port stiffer spings and I believe different exhaust cam. Also has the RR chain tensioner. I don't think it would do much good unless used with the 530 cylinder/piston kit.

Like juicehall said, It's a ported head with stiffer valve springs. But it has a more aggressive intake cam and will still be a a great addition regardless of the cc's (450, 510, or 530). You're allowing the engine to pull in more air and let the engine breath more. Now with that being said, that particular kit is very expensive from the dealer. You could piece it together on your own much cheaper. R&D titanium valve springs/keepers, the RR intake cam, and a good porting from your local engine builder.

thanks guys.. Ya I thought it would be something like that.. I install the GYRT head on my 2011 yz450.. it made that thing a rocket.. Kinda hoping for the same on the 510!

I don't doubt it will make a noticeable difference, just make sure to adjust fueling accordingly
