• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bought myself an `11 SMR 511. After sports bikes for over a decade this is my 2nd sumo and will never switch back. They are just so much fun.
Time to start modding, came with a lot of spares including race plastics and 2 other sets of street plastics. A few minor things to fix on the bike and then have a look at updating looks.

Very interesting 3 phase transformer in the background! . Another sweet pic of this clean bike.

Lol I can't wait to get out n ride!

Going to have to make a few changes to the bike, have owned it for 700 KM now and it needs a cosmetic overhaul at the very least.

1 - Some hoses are being held onto the bike by cable ties, will have to replace them with some nice hose clamps.
2 - The black plastic covers around the engine will be painted white, and the larger pieces will get stamped with a red husqvarna logo.
3 - Painting the hand guards white.
4 - Either buy or make a more comfortable seat.
5 - Change out the damaged grips for some nice bright white ones.
6 - LED Headlight replacement, considering DIY but might buy if I can find something I like.
7 - Learn how to wheelie all day long! :D

This is subject to change as I really like the old Husaberg yellow / blue colour combo :)

I did the Trail Tech HD headlight. I love it but it did cost $300. It was originally white. This is after I did my paint job which isn't the best paint job or picture here lol.

i have an 09 SMR510 by the way. I did Zeta hand guards with the LED blinkers. The stock directionals are part of the headlight and I didn't realize that until I changed it for this HID headlight, but the LED lights r super bright.
