• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Okay so I think i got this:

Huskymicky was interested in a find for a centerstand and posted here
Tonkatoytaco says "I got one"
Thumperama says "I'll take it" quicker then Huskymicky
Dynobob enters stage right and says "I contacted you first"
mjskier says "I pm'ed you before you even knew you were getting rid of it"

yeah, i think I got it now. Whew!

so if all these deals fall through i am interested!!

Yeah I just searched and found it in my spam.... Like WTF I got the first one. DynoBob I will find out how much shipping is to your zip on Monday and I will let you know. Ill email you and respond on here as well. Very sorry about that

No biggie... I wasn't sure the reply button was sending it to the right CL link so I did it a couple times and then figured you were busy w/ holiday stuff.

.

DynoBob has first dibs. He contacted me off a post I had on CL a while ago but apparently we ran into some computer issues. If that deal falls through then well figure out whos next. Sorry about all the confusion.

The right thing to do is sell to someone willing to make copies so everyone gets one !!!

I could do that**************************************** Or at least ship it to me to borrow, then i will forward it to the new owner!!
Good thinking Rancher1!!!

on one of the first rides. stepping back to get a pix and broke right there while focusing in, right onto the gravel. I'll need one, ya think?

I would be interested in buying one for a fair price too, or jumping on the copy one already in existence bandwagon! My stock kickstand works well with some of the inside foot ground down and the funky assist bracket removed, of course the odd bolt and auto retract stuff is long gone too. Now I just use the spring to lower the stand and it works much better than the original set up and I could live with it from now on but would still like a reasonably priced center stand for future maintenance and tire changes.

Well this just broke on me tonight when I went out to my bike and put my kickstand up**************************************** WHAT JUNK****************************************

I'm not sure because I have had no problems (I am a 3 week owner, so take that in to consideration) but I don't think that is the general issue with the kickstand around here****************************************

I've been getting by with the stocker all these years, with the addition of an ENDURO STAR STAND for changing tires and lubing chain: http://www.endurostar.com/

If this ends up happening, I'll get you fabricator guys dimensions/pics or send you the stand to duplicate.

I bought one of these many years ago when they first came out. IIRC it was only ~$24 or so total. Just went to the website to buy another for permanently stowing on my out of state bike and is $40 with shipping. Wow inflation, price near doubled! I really like the stand though; light, compact and strong so will still buy another.

UPS shipping is like $12. Maybe he's mailing them...a little cheaper.
Steve is a really good guy. Husky rider too.

I would definitely be interested in reproducing the center stand. I think detailed pictures and dimensions would be great.

Thanks for that offer!
