• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So I got my SM630 back in October of 2010 and came across the Center Stand that you could order from Husky's Special Parts Catalog, not even a month after having it, yet I was told then that the Center Stand Kit is no longer available for purchase though their catalog. Well after RELENTLESSLY SCOURING the internet for the next 6 months without success, I randomly check back every once in a while to search for it and HAVE YET TO COME ACROSS EVEN A USED ONE FOR SALE...... ANYONE providing ANY INFORMATION pointing me in the right direction WOULD BE MAKING MY CHRISTMAS!!! I can't keep leaving my bike worrying the entire time I'm gone that I am going to come back to it being parked horizontally rather than vertically****************************************!

The fabled center stand does and doesn't exist. CigarMike produced some for a time, but no longer does- I'm surprised you hadn't come across that in your searches. I'd imagine it would take a lot of time and patience to see a used one come up for sale. Do a search on CigarMike: you might be able to contact him and he may be willing to share the plans so that you can get one welded together....dunno. To my knowledge an actual break- of the stock side stand- is not common, but it's not unheard of either. I've not been easy on my TE side stand, have even used it a few times to tilt the bike up to get the rear wheel off the ground and have not had issues. I'm not fond of it, but it's adequate for my needs (emphasis on my needs- I'm not packing a bunch on the back of the bike, nor do I mount the bike while it's on the stand.) Heres one thread on the center stand- there are others:

Also- search this forum by kickstand or side stand. You'll find there are about 3-4 pretty quick and easy fixes to make the stock side stand a more robust and trustworthy prop.

Ya it broke at the mount on the bike**************************************** For no reason.... I baby my bike and had never even sat on bike while stand was down!

I have both the Cigar Mike center stand and the Ken Webb side stand. Both are super strong and work great. The center stand takes a little work to get the bike up on it but not bad, but it is harder than my ST1300.

I can take pictures and measurements if you want to try to manufacture either. I would contact Cigar Mike, a while ago on Advrider he posted some incomplete stands he would finish if anyone wanted one. Can't remember if there was one for the 630/610 but maybe he has or would like a little extra xmas cash.

Micky, it was the next day and you hadn't asked the obvious question.

I'll go ahead and ask the next question.....Tonkatoytaco, what's it worth to you? Send me a PM and let me know.

My apologies I was not paying attention. I will post a picture up in a second and Huskymicky will have first dibs. Now remember I live in Maryland.
