    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

125-200cc SM 125s 2002 wont start

hey guys i have a problem With my SM 125 from 2002, when i try to kickstart it it Winther start, not even close its totaly dead, when i spray a bit of brake cleaner in the carb it still won't start at the kick starter but when I run and then jump it in to first gear it starts and keep running until I stop it, and after I stop it I still can't kick it, and it only starts with brake clean and run start, I cleaned the carb and changed the plug, still same, does anyone know what it is, can too little compression do this?
also my power valves are not connected, I don't know how to put the smal round piece with the cables on the axle, can anybody guide me here? pictures would be awesome, I'm not sure but would that be the reason of no start?
 
Thank you very much, my filter is clean and when i rirst get it starter and it heats up a but it runs great, a little lack of high rpm torque but it think thats because of the valves, ill try check the jets, but its not even attempt to start, like there was no spark, even with a wrong jetting wouldn't it just try to start?
 
In your carb you have a main jet a idle jet and a starter jet

simply take your carb apart and clean it completely.

obvious the starter yet would have my devoted attention from the start.

look in the parts manual (picture 12).

I have a wre125 i had same probem 3times each time same part pick up /pulser coil next to fly wheel they pack up for a past time its a none fault my dealer told me if u get stuck for 1 i have 5 spares all new ..could sell u one if u stuck any way thats why your sparks are not right
 
mark 1, my wre did that, it made a grinding sound down on the left side of the engine where the coil thing is, then locked the engine from even turning over, is that the bit you mean?

No just had no spark the gizmo next to fly wheel husky have a problem with them but denie that ther is any problm my nephuew had same fault as well
