• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Show us your Husky :)

Don't be lured in by their ruse. A nice plush place to crash is just a trap. Those bears are smart. Offer a nice soft place to crash into and VIOLA! a nice juicy dirtbiker dinner gets delivered. hahahah

Was checking the trail timer camera last summer with my ol' Yamie TY350 trials bike. Was bent over flailing away
at the various buttons to get it reset, and heard a large, loud growl right behind me. I swallowed hard, closed the camera door
and stood up slowly and turned around. I didn't see anything,... the foliage was really thick. I lifted the trials bike up, spun it around,
one kick and it was lit and I went up the hill like a shot. Got back to the cabin and tried to reconcile what it was in my mind.

I knew darn well what it was.........a mother sow with cubs giving me a warning growl. I'm a hunter,.... bow and rifle, and often feel
my way into the stand in darkness. Been a long time since I had a flight reaction like that! The camera proved my suspicion too the
next time I checked it. I thought me and the trials bike were gonna be on the menu for sure that morning!!

Had a CBR 929 for 3 years until stolen in 2003 Fabulous bike and last new purchase until my TE300 two months ago.
Looks like we have similar tastes!

Nice! I've been riding a little over 3 years, started on a Honda 150. I bought this bike brand new and went with it because it had great reviews and was plated! I have not regretted it once, it's light and has plenty of power, I mostly ride single track but it is nice to have the plate and be able to hit some back roads. What year is your bike? Got a pic?

No pic but have a 2016 TE300 same as in CBR929's picture on previous page. Blue Rad shroud with the yellow unlike the previous years with White rad shroud I believe.
Congrats on the bike. Mine is for single track mostly as well.

"Please don't try and rub it in his face..... He needs to make a living and because you took your business is all that needs to be said.... Just saying...."

If they would have budged even a little.....I would have been swayed. The place I bought the Husky from is very small with less
operating margins.

The KTM dealer is also a Polaris dealer......and they move a lot of product. The fact they made no effort, and basically
could have cared a less as I walked out the door, made me buy a bike from a dealer 75 miles away, versus them
who I drive by everyday on the way to work. Oh.....and I bought a $10K quad from them last August. I also bought
the 1st KTM they ever sold after they got their franchise in 2006.

Rubbing it in thy face is the American way. This is the toy industry were talking about here. Tough sh*t.
I will have the bike in the truck when I go there, and invite them out to look at it. They will expect it.

I'm trying to make a living too...I envy the toy dealers versus what I go and do everyday for a living. Zero sympathy for their plight.
They stuck to their guns and I did too.

I am fortunate and blessed........spending $17,000 on recreation in the past year is a nice problem to have, but a mere $100 bucks
can be a deal breaker.......and the loss of customer loyalty can be more far reaching than one lost sale.............just sayin'.

Sometimes what goes around, comes around.......

Stateside I'd suggest Hall's cycles and Bills motorcycle plus. Rocky Mountain atv has a good selection but I try to support the dealers if possible. Munn racing also has good prices but they are slow on delivery from my experience.

Added hand guards and ziptye shark fin. Done for now. Finally going to have time to ride it soon. Tax season is no fun but for most of it the weather kind of sucks anyway.

Please don't give me grief on the state of my shed. My wife gives me enough already and I am going to clean it up soon. Bike is sheltered though, that's more than I can say about my truck or my wife's SUV!

Jus make sure the vermin don't nest in or chew that pretty new bike mate! They love to chew electrical wiring I've found

And rubber i.e. Airboots... Then urinate and crap in the carb and use your air filter for a home! Happened on my 83 500 unfortunately and ruined the long body mikuni
