• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Show us your Husky :)

I'm sure it feels just a little more nimble than a nine year 450 haha

Now i know what fun i've been missing all these years ! Second ride today, feels like its loosening up quite nicely.
Feels very light compared to the old machine. the power is awesome.

Only one small issue so far, a bit of clutch drag but i'll re-bleed it and see if that does the trick.

How do you find the Scalvini pipes? They look really smart! Any difference in power or sound and did they need different jetting?

I like it a lot, but to be honest i fitted it before i did much riding. the jetting is standard from the dealer and its running well. Crisp off the bottom and smooth all the way. I'm going to leave that as is until i've finished running her in.

Really good quality, amazing welding and no problems when i fitted it. Went straight on. A bit louder than stock, but not too much.

It sounds good

I hear good things about the scalvini pipes. Do you like it? Does it seem durable?

I'm very happy with it so far, reckon its going to be more durable. Better made for sure.

I know it doesn't help the performance but it looks awesome !

Very Cool! What kind of Gas Tank is that? I am assuming, it is so you an use a Quick Fill Gas Can.

Husq-a-daygo,

I see you are running the Sedona 907 rear tire too. With a tube though? If so, at what pressure with the tube, just for basic information.

I don't see the tale-tale signs of a Tubliss setup. I do however see a small ding in the rim by the "DID Dirt Star" label and a rimlock nut or tall cap on a valve stem?

Don't mean to be nosey but, You running mousse inserts?

Mousse front and rear. Stock DiD rims are softer than aftermarket. I'll be upgrading to DID ST-X rims with billet hubs and stainless spokes next.

The two Swedes are missing from this pic
