• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Alright guys, i took my Husky out today to play in the dirt, in doing so I removed the entire stock tail section (brake light, turn signals, and oh so important mud flap) So now I'm stuck seeing just how sexy it is without all that junk. I'm looking for different ways to tuck the license plate under and possibly an integrated tail light from a sportbike? If you have modified your tail section, please post them up

Baja Designs taillight/plate mount, Uptite Y, dealer removed afew things ;)

I'm using the Baja Designs LED taillight on my TE610 and TE310 and like it:

Other pictures on the TE310 page show the taillight from different angles. The LEDs are very bright and use less current than the stock assemblies.

ramz...did you get my e-mail or was it a PM on TT?

Back on point...Nate...what year is your bike? I like the small kit that came with the power-up kits on the newer (08+) bikes!

I have one of the UFO models. I think UFO is the actual OEM for the under the fender set up. Some guys will have to replace their rear fender too and replace with a TXC/TC fender.

Nate, I have seen quite a few riders here in CO zip tie their plates to a camel back, or screw to the inside of the rear fender near the mud flap. It would be up to a officers discretion just how "legal" these setups are, but if you are ok with that there is no more minimalist way to do it.

Same idea ...I have the "electosport LED signals just haven't mounted them yet.
The ones I have are small LED, but do not flex like the Eletrosports.

UFO Tail

Here is what I did. My local shop had a UFO tail with integrated blinkers. I think it looks pretty nice and I havent torn off anymore blinkers since the change.

rojobigguy,
Why do you have wires running to your License plate bolts?

Might be one of those LED bolts like I have on mine, it’s what you do if you don’t have a light source for the plate, it works great

Here’s mine

rojobigguy,
Why do you have wires running to your License plate bolts?

I wired up red LED license plate bolts that light up with the brake lights. I really want people to notice when I'm on the brakes.:D

Here's what I've been using since new - the stock rear fender supplied with the power-up kit. I got tired of taking off my turn signals every time I was planning on a serious dirt-ride, so I put on LED strip lights and haven't had one rip off yet in 2 years. I had to replace the flasher relay to get the flashing rate slowed down to the correct speed. Notice the LED bolt light for the license plate - seems many are using them now.
I included 1 photo of the front turn signal too.

I ordered it from the TT store. Before this, my rear tire ate my stock license plate. I re-ordered the stock one and it did it again, so I found this one.

Can you or anyone provide a pic of what this one looks like? Seems the power up kits no longer come with the rear fenders, so i'm interested in this one.
