  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yes i bought the full spectrum for my KTM 450.super light and holds a great charge.
i need a LFX14A1-BS12 for my wifes 700 kawasaki quad.I like the case better on the Shorai better than the full spectrum and i love that Shorai gives you multiple adhesive backed foam pieces to custom fit to your battery box.someone was thinking.

Yea-didn't know that either. I've just had good luck with them: everytime. I refer friends to them all the time. Half the performance of a battery reguardless of brand or $ spent is who you bought them from due to how they store/ship them. Good service to me gets return service from me.

just went to their website- http://www.batterystuff.com/powersports-batteries/LFX14L2-BS12.html
the first picture shows the coupon code- just don't cycle through the pictures- then click ADD TO CART then enter the coupon code and the price will be reduced-

BRP has a nice deal going too from the lookes of it $143.95-10%=$129.36 shipped
BRP is handling alo more items of late that I didn't know of!

all good places-
The code wouldnt work for the battery i needed and i ended up going with motomummy.

Wished i would have gone with BRP as i would have saved me $10

Not saying "I told you so" is sometimes more statisfying than saying "I told you so" :D

I just got mine ( ordered direct from Shorai ), I'm seriously impressed, spare battery connectors, lots of foam choices ( I only needed one piece trimmed a little, but good to know the choices are there ) & it fits in the 2011 te310 so nicely.
Maybe in my head, but the bike felt lighter to.

Still looks like $129.36 shipped from our C.H. mates B.R.P. is the best deal going!

So support our C.H. sponsors or give them the chance to price match.
