• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sherco news from Clay Stuckey

I'm very keen to try them for myself. Never owned a modern 2-dinger, but may be able to be swayed.
The KTM (Keep To Mowing) 2Ts vibrate like a broken lawn-mower, if the Shercos are smooth I may be keen.
Either that or the new 450s when they lob here next year.
My Husaberg/KTM 250 2T, doesn't vibrate like a broken lawn mower.

They did just add bigger bore..... stroke is the same for both 72mm

Haven't ridden a 250, the 300cc ones certainly do, I guess they just threw in the bigger piston on the standard bottom....
I've ridden 3 now, all of them the same. The owners all said it annoyed them at first but are used to it now.
I've never ridden a KTM 300. Beta 300 and Gas Gas 300 I rode definitely vibrated. If the Sherco 300 2T is smooth, that's a plus.

AFter riding a couple different Beta 300s and watching more on a hardcore trail ride. I went into the Beta illustrated parts breakdown manuals......I was thinking they had some sort of counterbalancer shaft.....they dont.

I did :) WR300 vibrates pretty good too. I prefer 250's for many reasons this being one of them.

I agree, I prefer the 250s as well they are sportier and I do not need the extra power from the 300. I guess a lot of people like the 300 for the extra grunt of the bottom to help them out in the gnarly when they make mistakes.
